Advisory Committee approves $152,840 sewer reserve fund transfer

Advisory Committee · Meeting of March 4, 2026

COHASSET — Advisory Committee unanimously backs $152,840 sewer reserve transfer for membrane deposit. Chair Jeanne Astino and the eight-member panel voted 8-0 to approve the immediate transfer from the Reserve Fund to the Sewer Budget, allowing the town to secure a 30 percent deposit on new membranes with August delivery. The Sewer Commission also won the committee's 8-0 endorsement of a second warrant article requesting authorization for a $1 million bond for Wastewater Treatment Plant design upgrades.

The FY27 Budget remains in draft as New Growth projections dropped sharply to $350,000 from $1 million in FY26; the town is planning reductions including position eliminations and closure of the Paul Pratt Library on Sundays.
