Advisory Committee backs warrant articles on water rates, cemetery fees, and Wheelwright Park petition

COHASSET — Advisory Committee unanimously backed nine warrant articles for Annual Town Meeting. Chair Jeanne Astino and the nine-member panel endorsed the Cohasset Water Rate Structure featuring approximately four percent annual rate increases over five years, a new revolving fund for roughly thirty-five thousand dollars in annual cemetery fees, rescission of three point three million dollars in unissued Water Department debt authorization, and amendments to the South Shore Regional Vocational Technical High School Agreement. Interim Town Manager Michelle Leary presented a balanced FY27 town budget of fifty-eight point six six million dollars, including twenty-six million for Cohasset Public Schools.
