COHASSET — Advisory Committee reviews $26.7 million public safety facilities proposal. The joint meeting with the Select Board and Capital Budget Committee heard presentations on the scope and cost of the 135 King Street facility and the Elm Street garage addition. Glenn Pratt, chair of the Public Safety Facilities Committee, said the committee spent six months evaluating alternatives.

The total project cost is $26,765,845, requiring a debt exclusion of $20,765,845 for Annual Town Meeting. The impact to a median homeowner is approximately $520 per year in additional taxes. The Elm Street project cannot begin for at least two to three years.
