COHASSET — Board of Assessors sets preliminary tax rate for FY 2027 billing. The board unanimously approved a preliminary tax rate of approximately $11.67, an increase from the FY 2026 rate of $11.35, using a factor of 1.0282. Chair Joseph P.
Kennedy, Clerk Debra J. Krupczak, and Member Lorraine Tarpey approved the rate, along with routine monthly reports and warrant commitments. Director of Assessing Rachael Carlisle reported that new assistant assessor Elizabeth Lynch will begin June 8, pending her CORI check, with preliminary billing scheduled to begin June 10.
