Capital Budget Committee approves $1.5M improvement plan

COHASSET — Capital Budget Committee authorizes $1.5M in improvements and debt rescission. Chair Susan Franklin secured unanimous approval of a $1.2 million Frontline fire engine on a 10-year bond and rescission of $3.3 million in unspent Water Department authority. The committee voted 4-1 on multiple school security items: surveillance cameras totaling $213,609 across Cohasset Middle School, Cohasset High School, Deer Hill School, and Osgood School, with member Chrissie Francona dissenting on all school proposals.
A $25,000 Paul Pratt Library door replacement also passed 4-1.
