Cohasset Capital Budget Committee approves $1.5 million in sewer system funding. Chair Susan Franklin led the committee to unanimous approval of a $1 million bond authorization for wastewater treatment plant upgrades and a $526,580 transfer for critical membrane replacement in the sewer processing system. The committee also advanced preliminary planning for a major police facilities project now in schematic design phase, with $200,000 budgeted for design completion by March 13 and $800,000 estimated for engineering work.
Architects are exploring whether to include the fire station in the project, removal of which would save approximately $1.8 million.
