Cohasset Capital Budget Committee reviews $26.7M public safety proposal. A joint meeting of the Capital Budget Committee, Select Board, and Advisory Committee heard presentations on a comprehensive proposal to expand and renovate the public safety complex, with a new facility at 135 King Street and future fire department expansion space at 44 Elm Street. The $26,765,845 project requires a debt exclusion of $20,765,845 at Annual Town Meeting, with an estimated tax impact of $520 annually for a median-value property.

The committee also authorized $150,000 in capital budget allocation for design work on future Elm Street expansion.
