Cohasset Annual Town Meeting adopts $29.4M budget and zoning amendments.

Cohasset approves $29.4M fiscal 2005 budget with two-thirds majority vote. The town appropriated $29,378,494, funded by water revenues of $2,088,835, stabilization fund transfers of $279,716, and $26,769,659 from taxation. Voters also authorized $3,000,000 in borrowing for water system improvements including Lily Pond Water Treatment Plant upgrades, passed zoning amendments establishing a Large House Site Plan Review capping residential floor area at 6,000 square feet maximum, and approved $800,000 for watershed and open space land acquisition under the Community Preservation Act, with $80,000 allocated to Housing Authority improvements at 60 Elm Street.
