Cohasset Special Town Meeting approves $2.4M in spending and bylaw amendments. Moderator Daniel Evans convened 130 registered voters at the High School gymnasium to approve $1.6 million in deposits to stabilization funds, $371,000 in capital improvements focused on school safety and phone systems, $252,500 in one-time costs, and $240,000 in Water Commission supplemental appropriations. The town also amended bylaws to require solar photovoltaic installations to comply with national electrical codes and strengthened Wetlands Protection enforcement with $300-per-day penalties for non-compliance with Conservation Commission orders.
