Cohasset Conservation Commission approves 88 Doane Street driveway with variances

Conservation Commission · Meeting of March 19, 2026

Cohasset Conservation Commission approves 88 Doane Street driveway with variances and conditions. The Commission voted 4-0 to issue three variances and an Order of Conditions for applicant Adam Norman's project to pave an existing gravel driveway within the 200-foot Riverfront Area, with Conservation Agent Charlotte Pechtl imposing mitigation including tree plantings 10 to 15 feet from the driveway, native shrubs and seed mix installation, and site inspections. The Commission also voted 4-0 to lift an Enforcement Order for unauthorized alterations dating to August 2025.

Separately, the Commission voted 5-0 to retain its current seven-member structure and decline a proposal to reduce membership to five members, determining the larger board better serves review of complex environmental matters.
