Cohasset historic district committee advances outreach before May Town vote

Cohasset Village Historic District Study Committee moves toward May Town Meeting vote on preservation. The committee, chaired by Woody Chittick, has identified 35 stakeholders in the proposed district, including 23 property owners eligible to vote and 12 non-resident owners. Planned outreach includes a stakeholder informational meeting February 26, a public forum in mid-April at Wilcutt Commons, and monthly tabling at the Farmers Market and Transfer Facility.

Village design guidelines will be advisory only, with Special Permits required only for changes in use and needing approval from four of five committee members.
