Cohasset's Affordable Housing Steering Committee maintains leadership and pursues a housing-plan update. Town Planner Cassandra Thayer has submitted a grant application to hire a consultant to review and update the 2020 Housing Production Plan, reflecting new state accessory dwelling unit rules and the town's MBTA Overlay District. Paul Kierce continues as chair, Mary Hynes as vice-chair, with Beth Tarpey and Fred Koed maintaining their existing roles.
The town has added three affordable units at 808 Jerusalem Road and 43 Elm Street this year, while 14 additional units are pending at 1 Pleasant Street (4 deed-restricted) and two more properties remain in the development pipeline.
