Cohasset School Committee approves SSEC capital reserve and town election site

Cohasset School Committee approves reserve fund for regional collaborative and town election venue. The board unanimously authorized the South Shore Educational Collaborative to establish a Capital Reserve Fund financed through surplus tuition revenue, with no additional district cost, allowing interest accrual for long-term capital planning. The Committee also voted unanimously to permit the Annual Town Election on May 9, 2026 at Deer Hill School Gymnasium.

Additionally, the board accepted $89,825 in grants from the Cohasset Education Foundation and $8,143 in donations from the Parent School Organization, supporting arts programming, outdoor learning, professional development, fitness supervision, and instructional materials.
