Cohasset votes $28M budget, $3M water investment

Cohasset town meeting passes $28 million budget and water improvements. The town approved fiscal 2004 spending of $27.9 million and authorized $2.98 million for water system upgrades including treatment plant improvements and pipe replacement. Capital projects included $800,000 for police and fire station renovations, $60,000 for a school bus, and $25,000 for Osgood School roof repairs.

Community Preservation Committee funding allocated approximately $300,000 for senior affordable housing, historical preservation projects, and a walking trail study, with zoning amendments protecting water resources also advancing.
