Committee approves $11,225 conservation baseline documentation project

Community Preservation Committee · Meeting of March 9, 2026

Cohasset Community Preservation Committee approves $11,225 conservation project. The committee unanimously backed the Cohasset Conservation Trust's application for Baseline Documentation Reports, mapping, and a survey of Salerno Woodlands, presented by Conservation Agent Charlotte Pechtl with members Katie Holden and Jeff Wahl. Library Director Bronwyn Nelson separately requested CPC funding for an ADA compliant door at the new library pavilion, expected to open by late spring; the committee requested a complete application with design drawings.

Multiple projects are advancing: the Sandy Beach Fencing and Revolution and War of 1812 Memorial Wall are complete, the Town Hall fire suppression system nears completion, and historic window restoration goes to bid in mid-March.
