Committee reviews Wheelwright Park cell tower options, sets Earth Day cleanup

Open Space and Recreation Committee · Meeting of March 10, 2026

COHASSET — Open Space and Recreation Committee reviews Wheelwright Park cell tower alternatives. Seven members discussed revenue allocation, with the town receiving 55 percent of sublease revenue directed to the Community Preservation Committee for land preservation and recreation, plus an initial $10,000 deposit. Committee members requested documentation of alternative sites considered before the Wheelwright Park selection and suggested the Board of Selectmen be asked about land swap details and future modifications.

The committee set May 2, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM for a town Earth Day cleanup on the Town Common, coordinated with Holly Hill Farm programming.
