Conservation Commission approves boat dock with tree-planting mandate
Conservation Commission · Meeting of February 26, 2026
Cohasset Conservation Commission approves boat dock with strict environmental controls. The Commission unanimously approved a private dock, gangway, and float at 54–60 Beach Street in Little Harbor, requiring seven native tree plantings and hand-driven pile installation to protect salt marsh and coastal resource areas. Conservation Agent Charlotte Pechtl will oversee plantings and construction protocols.
The Commission also unanimously approved three residential projects with minor impact: a three-season porch at 37 Church Street, an addition at 40 Beechwood Street, and a septic system compliance certificate. Two hearings were continued to March 5, including a driveway paving project where the applicant agreed to increase mitigation plantings.
