Conservation Commission approves driveway paving project

Conservation Commission · Meeting of March 5, 2026

Cohasset Conservation Commission approves Doane Street driveway paving. The Commission voted 4-0-0 to issue an Order of Conditions and two variances allowing Adam Norman to replace an existing gravel driveway with pavement at 88 Doane Street within protected wetland areas. The project includes detailed mitigation: native plantings 10 to 15 feet from the driveway, shrub plantings, site inspections, and maintenance plans.

The Commission also lifted a prior Enforcement Order for unauthorized work at the same address. In separate actions, the Commission unanimously approved a float-and-gangway replacement at 220 Atlantic Avenue and voted 5-0-0 to retain its seven-member structure, rejecting a proposal to reduce to five members to improve quorum attendance. A hearing on tree removal at 70 and 74 Black Horse Lane was continued to April 2.
