Elder Affairs Board · Meeting of March 9, 2026

Cohasset Elder Affairs Board approves $473,396 FY 2027 budget. Chair Jim Murphy led the March 9 meeting with nine of 12 members present. Treasurer Elaine Coyne presented the budget proposal, a $21,000 increase from FY 2026 driven by personnel costs, including a higher rate for a new full-time social worker and a part-time outreach worker at 21 hours.

The board also approved hiring Nicole Roach as the new social worker, replacing Sue LaSpada who resigned. Volunteer Jim Burke from HESCCO started as a part-time SHINE counselor working alternate weeks from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
