COHASSET — The Planning Board unanimously approved returning outstanding deposit balances from nine completed projects and endorsed the draft 2026-2036 Open Space and Recreation Plan for state submission. Chair Kevin Heine, Vice Chair Clark Brewer, Member Amy Glasmeier, and Clerk Birgit Schmidt-Wesche voted 4-0 to close out accounts from addresses including 58 Gammons Road, 42 Rust Way, and 31 Dolan Lane after confirming no outstanding taxes were owed. The board also voted 4-0 to endorse the 180-page Open Space and Recreation Plan prepared by Beals and Thomas, with the addition of the word "healthy" to the letter of support regarding community quality of life.

Vice Chair Brewer raised concerns during discussion about protecting town-owned land, specifically suggesting rezoning Wheelwright Park to "Open Space" status to prevent future municipal developments such as cell towers.
