Planning Board approves scenic road work and common driveway at South Main Street.

Planning Board · Meeting of May 6, 2026

COHASSET — Planning Board unanimously approves scenic road work and common driveway permits for South Main Street three-lot subdivision. The board approved the applications for Stephen Bjorklund with conditions requiring a 15-foot landscape screening buffer, removal of an invasive Norway maple, and a $3,000 donation to the town tree bank. Vice Chair Clark Brewer and Chair Kevin Heine supported a 90-degree stone wall configuration to preserve the antique character of the existing ornamental wall.

The common driveway approval stipulates that the engineer add a 15-foot dimension from property line to pavement edge, submit a vegetative plan, and conform driveway construction to the town peer reviewer's binder course thickness specification.
