COHASSET — Capital Budget Committee charts FY 27 capital spending across three major departments. The committee reviewed school requests for 10 diesel bus leases, multipurpose vehicle rentals, and security upgrades; a Department of Public Works request for a $339,835 street sweeper, financed at $118,850 annually for three years or $74,728 annually for five years; and updated the Public Safety building project, where $2 million to $3 million in savings from eliminating a sub-station will likely be consumed by construction cost increases and architectural fees.
