Cohasset School Committee approves 2026-2027 calendar, accepting Good Friday as half day. The Committee unanimously backed the third and final reading after deliberating attendance patterns and religious equity concerns. Superintendent Dr.

The Committee accepted $1,121.25 in gifts from the Parent School Organization and discussed an updated FY27 budget facing severe fiscal pressures from special education, transportation, and utility costs; Dr. Shannon outlined likely staffing reductions, with middle school English Language Arts and Math teachers serving approximately 100-105 students per grade level under the proposed model, up from the current fourteen to fifteen students, rising to twenty to twenty-one students per section.
