Cohasset Select Board approves year-end budget transfers for FY26 deficits. Town Accountant Beth Mosley secured unanimous board approval to address shortfalls in police overtime, fire overtime, water services, snow and ice removal, unemployment, and Medicare costs through reserve fund drawdown and health insurance balance reallocation. Police Chief Quigley attributed the police overtime deficit to staff shortages and minimum manning requirements.
The board appointed members to seven town committees and approved liquor licenses for October and September special events. Two parking-related decisions were tabled pending the Town Manager's return.
