Cohasset Select Board unanimously offers town manager position to interim leader Michelle Leary. The board voted 4-0 to authorize Municipal Resources, Inc. to make a conditional offer to Leary after interviewing three finalists: Finance Director Karen Preval of Carver and Assistant Town Manager Daniel Riviello of Provincetown. Board members cited Leary's six months in the interim role, her financial acumen, her knowledge of Cohasset, and her relationship with the school superintendent.
The conditional offer is subject to a satisfactory background check to be completed within two weeks and successful contract negotiation by the Select Board.
