Sewer Commission addresses water main clearance and membrane delays at 26 Lamberts Lane project.

Sewer Commission · Meeting of January 7, 2026

COHASSET — Sewer Commission tackles membrane system failure and site plan utility issues at Lamberts Lane. Chair William McGowan and the board learned that Side 2 of the treatment plant membrane system is not functioning and has held back flow since the holidays, filling both the plant and collection system; roughly 30 to 50 percent of flow now diverts to Hull Street. Replacement membranes carry a 30-week lead time, with a vendor meeting set for January 28.

On the Lamberts Lane project, Jeff Hertz agreed to lower the water main for clearance and contact the water department; clean plans are due by end of next week, pending written approval from Hingham Water.
