COHASSET — Sewer Commission approves $282 toilet repair abatement, advances wastewater plant design review. Chair William McGowan, Vice Chair Paul Kierce, and member James McNeil, joined by Carol Rowe, voted unanimously to accept the abatement for 255 Forest Avenue. The Commission heard Peter Lyons present a Phase 1 design proposal for the wastewater treatment plant covering assessment and potential replacement of blowers, UV systems, odor control, and HVAC equipment, with a 30 percent contingency for unforeseen work; members requested detail on system interactions before moving to quoting and Phase 3 instruction documents.
The Commission scheduled an in-person meeting for Phase 3 review and intends to present the design at Town Meeting.
