Sidewalk Committee finalizes 2026 paving plan with $1.25 million in funding.

Sidewalk Committee · Meeting of March 25, 2026

Cohasset Sidewalk Committee approves FY26 paving and sidewalk plan using $1.25 million. The allocation includes $900,000 from the Road Stabilization Fund and $350,000 in state Chapter 90 funding, targeting six roads: Forest Avenue, North Main Street, Linden Drive, Library lower lot, King Street, and James Lane. Committee member Brian Joyce will obtain quotes from TL Edwards within four to five weeks.

Sidewalk improvements on Jerusalem Road, Pleasant Street, and Beechwood Street will proceed only if funding remains after street paving. The committee established a ten-year moratorium on energy company excavation of newly paved roads.
