Water Commission · Meeting of January 22, 2026

COHASSET — Water Commission approves $2.8 million in borrowing for two watermain projects. Chair Christopher E. Pratt led approval of $1.2 million for 3A watermain replacement and $1.6 million for South Main Street watermain replacement, both on 20-year terms, with South Main Street work targeted to begin in August.

The commission is also examining a $6 million sludge lagoon project planned for fiscal 2027 and an additional $2.5 million in five-year distribution work; Pratt will present three rate-increase scenarios (3.5, 4, and 4.5 percent) before the May Town Meeting to support the capital program.
