COHASSET — Water Commission approves January minutes and reviews TTHM public-notice plan. The board discussed elevated trihalomethane levels stemming from high organics in source ponds; Dan Wojcik reported that spring sampling outside the lagoon area and increased flushing are under consideration, and that Holland Company testing suggested a higher-cost alternative chemical producing less sludge. Public Communication Director Katie Evans presented draft public notices for DEP review, with a web page, FAQs, and interactive materials set to launch alongside the mailed notice.

The commission also approved an eight-inch water main and three connection fees at $13,600 each for 102 and 108 Howard Gleason Road development.
