Cohasset Planning Board endorses three-lot South Main Street division unanimously
COHASSET — October 15, 2025 — Cohasset Planning Board unanimously endorsed a revised three-lot subdivision plan for 383-405-R South Main Street and received a full legal compliance training session at its October 15 meeting. The four members present — Chair Clark Brewer, Amy Glasmeier, Kevin Heine, and Birgit Schmidt-Wesche — voted to endorse the approval-not-required plan submitted by Gregory Morris of Morris Engineering on behalf of Van York Development and applicant J. Stephen Bjorklund after the engineer revised lot labeling to satisfy Town Counsel Carolyn Murray's requirement that all lots have frontage on a public way in the Residence B district. The applicant signaled a common driveway application will follow. Murray then led a roughly 90-minute training covering serial email violations, social media risks, recusal obligations for abutters within 300 feet, and personal fines of up to $10,000 for ethics infractions, noting that the board's current lack of an associate member creates a structural vulnerability if any member must recuse from a supermajority vote.
