Cohasset Select Board Votes to Send Public Safety Building to Town Meeting

COHASSET — March 24, 2026 — Cohasset Select Board unanimously recommended nine warrant articles to the 2026 Annual Town Meeting, including the public safety building at 135 King Street. Meeting at Willcutt Commons on Tuesday, Chair Ellen Maher and members Paul Grady and David Farag cleared a wide-ranging agenda that included a $2.1 million transfer to the Capital Stabilization Account, a $615,000 OPEB Trust transfer, and a doubling of the specialized inspections revolving fund from $50,000 to $100,000. The board approved a liquor license upgrade for Stevie G's restaurant — converting from wine and malt to all-alcoholic-beverage under M.G.L. Chapter 138, Section 12D — and approved officer changes at the Cohasset Yacht Club, adding Grace Evans as rear commodore, Marin Bradley as clerk, and Brian Baker as fleet captain. A common victualler license application for Q and L Food Company, doing business as Black Cat Breakfast and Bakery, was deferred after Chief Quigley reported the business appears to have been operating without proper permits. The full operating budget was held for the March 31 meeting pending the School Committee's budget vote.
