Select Board · Meeting of October 29, 2026

COHASSET — The Cohasset Select Board unanimously approved a filming permit for a Dana-Farber Cancer Institute commercial. Police Chief Quigley told the board a production company approached the town late last week seeking last-minute permission to film in the village and on the common, interviewing cancer patients, including Cohasset residents treated at Dana-Farber. He said the crew already had required permits and insurance on file and a limited footprint on public property.

Chair David Farrag said the project had "no greater public purpose" than supporting Dana-Farber's filming in town. The board, with members William Ashton, Gregory Watts and Ellen Maher also present, voted 4-0 by roll call to approve the permit.
