COHASSET — Select Board holds governance workshop with retired town manager. Retired town manager Jeffrey Nutting facilitated the September 10 session with Chair David Farrag, Vice Chair Ellen Maher, Clerk William Ashton, Member Gregory Watts, and Member Paul L. Grady, Jr., covering the Town Manager Act, town bylaws, and open meeting law.
The board discussed procedural improvements including a Wednesday 9:00 AM deadline for agenda proposals and Friday material distribution for Tuesday meetings. Members also considered establishing Town Manager office hours to consolidate public and board inquiries.
