Select Board votes to terminate Flock camera contract to cure legal defect
Cohasset Select Board · Meeting of August 25, 2026
Cohasset Select Board moves to terminate Flock camera contract due to legal defect. The board voted unanimously to instruct the Town Manager to terminate the automatic-renewal agreement and renegotiate a Chapter 30B-compliant contract while preserving the option to explore alternative vendors. Chair David Farrag explained that the aggregate cost threshold exceeded simple best-practice procurement procedures.
The board also unanimously approved two license applications—the Thanks for Giving Road Race on November 26 and FortySecond Brew Co.'s one-day liquor license for the Inebri-Art Festival in September and October—and deferred action on three citizens' petitions regarding noise controls, plastic water bottles, and surveillance technology regulation.
