School Committee preliminarily approves Before and After School Handbook

Cohasset School Committee votes to preliminarily approve Before and After School Handbook. Chair Corey D. Evans, Vice Chair Craig MacLellan, and Member Lance Dial voted unanimously to green-light the handbook, clearing the district to operate the program for the 2026–2027 school year after state licensing changes forced transition from the Recreation Department.
Superintendent Dr. Sarah Shannon reported the Osgood School roof project on schedule to exceed a $2.69 million estimate with approximately $872,515 in MSBA reimbursement expected, and announced plans for a Special Town Meeting vote in October on feasibility-study funding for the middle and high school project. The Committee also unanimously appointed Patricia Boyer as Interim Director of Finance & Operations and conducted first reads on revised sexual harassment, nondiscrimination, and new teen dating violence policies.
