Cohasset School Committee approves restraint policy update and wellness courtyard donation. Chair Corey D. Evans presided as the Committee unanimously approved the revised Physical Restraint of Students Policy on second reading, with staff training scheduled before August 17 regulatory deadline.

The Committee also unanimously accepted a $15,000 donation from the Clark Chatterton Memorial Fund for the Wellness Recreation Courtyard project at Cohasset Middle School and High School, endorsed continuation of the School Special Stabilization Fund providing $1.5 million annually for facility maintenance, and approved a revised meeting calendar moving the August 19 meeting to August 26. Superintendent Dr. Sarah Shannon reported the Director of Finance and Operations has resigned after beginning July 1 and announced the District is seeking an interim director by late August to manage significant budget and operational matters.
