COHASSET — School Committee honors departing leaders, approves handbooks and gifts. Chair Corey D. Evans and committee members recognized Assistant Superintendent Dr.

Leslie Scollins, who has served seven years, and Director of Finance and Operations Susan Owen for their departure from the District. The Committee unanimously approved all four school handbooks and accepted a $3,960 gift from the Cohasset Education Foundation to support an artificial-intelligence tool for teachers. The Committee also unanimously accepted a $12,017.50 donation from the Parent School Organization for library refurbishment, which has contributed approximately $50,000 over three years.

The Committee authorized the Superintendent to develop a five-year financial outlook as an initial step in exploring a potential operating override, with results expected by late September or early October 2026.
