Cohasset School Committee adopts combined Title IX policy, 5-0

School Committee · Meeting of September 2, 2026

Cohasset School Committee opens the year with five unanimous votes, headlined by a merged Title IX and harassment policy. Assistant Superintendent Dr. Wilcox reported a smooth first day for students in grades 1 through 12, with open houses running September 15 through 24.

Student Services Director Stapleton detailed new special education hires, including Lorraine Dooley, Kelsey Bannon and Natalie Ayotte, and a schedule overhaul moving CPAC meetings off an 11 a.m. slot to widen access for working parents. New business-office staffer Ms. Boyer, two weeks into the job, said the year-end DESE financial report due September 30 is "60 to 70% completed." The board voted 5-0 to adopt the consolidated ACAB Title IX policy, 5-0 on the related ACR non-discrimination update, and 5-0 to rescind the prior grievance procedure it replaces.
