Cohasset Select Board approves revised public safety facilities charge, sets strategic goals. The Board unanimously approved amendments to the Public Safety Facilities Committee charge providing greater operational flexibility and set revised goals for long-term capital planning with Board oversight, operating budget development, and examination of potential financial override need. The Board appointed four members to the Council of Elder Affairs and granted event permits.
Regarding downtown parking, Police Chief William Quigley reported 2,600 citations issued town-wide in 18 months, prompting the Board to request a cost proposal from the Metropolitan Area Planning Council.
