COHASSET — Public safety committee narrows facilities focus to two sites for December review. The Cohasset Public Safety Facilities Committee received an amended charge from the Select Board to evaluate expansion at Elm Street and redesign at 135 King Street for police and fire operations. Chair Glenn Pratt outlined minimum operational requirements including adequate police space with modern cells and sally ports, decontamination facilities, and garage space for a second ambulance.
Project Manager Dan Pallotta confirmed the committee can present schematic plans and cost estimates to town meeting by December, with the Select Board targeting October 26 for a special town meeting dedicated to public safety.
