Cohasset Public Safety Facilities Committee advances King Street police station design. The Committee voted 7-0 to retain 20 rear parking spaces at 135 King Street, with Project Manager Dan Pallotta and Architect Paula Claridge presenting blocking plans using a less expensive segmental retaining wall. The Committee voted 5-0 to eliminate a proposed south shell for future fire substation housing, with members Mark Cameron and Daniel Duffy stating the move was necessary for Town Meeting approval.
Fire Chief John Dockray confirmed fire code mandates rear driveway access, and the Committee directed designers to return with options for one-and-a-half-bay and two-bay sally port designs.
