Library trustees elevate Children's Librarian to higher pay grade
Paul Pratt Memorial Library Trustees · Meeting of July 8, 2026
Cohasset library board elevates Children's Librarian position to pay grade A4. Director Bronwyn Nelson reported the department handles significantly more programming and attendance than the Young Adult room, which currently operates at the same level. The reclassification, estimated to cost $2,000 to $3,000 in the current fiscal year, would grant formal supervisory authority to the Children's Librarian.
The trustees voted unanimously 6-0 to endorse the change, with funding anticipated from state aid and next year's budget.
