Zoning Board approves dock at 70-74 Black Horse Lane, continues two hearings

Zoning Board of Appeals · Meeting of July 6, 2026

Cohasset Zoning Board approves dock at Black Horse Lane, continues two hearings. The board voted 3-0 to approve a special permit for dock installation at 70-74 Black Horse Lane, subject to other required permits and a permanent easement recording. Chair David McMorris also guided the board to continue two August hearings: a competing dock application at 66 Black Horse Lane and a variance request from applicant David Won at 83 Spring Street, where a newly constructed deck encroached 0.4 feet into the setback.

Building Inspector John Hallin proposed an alternative solution using posts and railing adjustments to avoid the variance requirement.
